Jamie Oliver looks back at the Great British steamed pudding for his steamed marmalade pudding recipe which promises to provide all the sticky, sweet warmness of the original but with no where near the hassle.
10 tablespoons thick cut Marmalade
150ml Single cream
2 Free range eggs
100 grams Self-raising flour
100ml olive oil
Jamie starts his streamed marmalade pudding recipe by pouring the single cream and olive oil into a mixing bowl.
He then measures 100g of self raising flour into the bowl along with 150g of ground almonds and a pinch of salt. He mixes everything together before cracking in two eggs and the marmalade to form the steamed sponge pudding mixture.
In a frying pan Jamie adds 8 tablespoons of marmalade and simmers.
He adds a little olive oil to his cups and smears it all around.
He 3/4 fills each cup with the marmalade sponge pudding mixture.
Jamie then places the cups, two at a time into the microwave for 2.5 minutes.
After removing from the microwave, Jamie turns them out onto a plate and spoons the marmalade syrup over the top.
